My Decoupage Wish List

So even though I haven't even completed my first project and despite the fact that I'm in sewing chaos right now, I still have dreams of decoupage, lol.

Here are a few things I'd like to decoupage: (not sure if I'll be able to complete but that's why it's a wish list)

> My washing machine and dryer
> Those cheapo IKEA end tables I use for my son's coloring table (although they do come in awesome lime green)
> My future countertop for my future laundry/sewing room cabinets (this one I might actually set time aside for)
> Light switch plates for my laundry/sewing room (this is very feasible)
> a tv...is that even possible without something combusting into flames.
> my cell phone cover
> ooo just thought of this...my son's toy chest, which is just a blue plastic trunk w/ wheels.
> business cards...sounds awesome but waaayy to tedious, I got a clever little idea for my cards.  I just need ink for my printer (which is taking longer to get than I would like for some reason)

I love Mod Podge!

Went to a Decoupage Workshop tonight.....awesoomme...I'm going to decoupage my house now in FABRIC!!!!...yessss.

Love finding new ways to support my fabric addiction!

On another note, I finally figured out my pricing schedule for stuff so I'm ready to bring my scarfs to the consignment boutique now.  Taking a while but I'm getting my Etsy shop together, one slow step at a time.

I'm BACK with Uploads!

So over Easter weekend I managed to take and upload a few pictures.

Here's the progress I've been making in my sewing adventures.

I made 5 inch cotton blocks out of leftover fabric and fat quarters, I put in jingle bells so it makes noise when you shake them.  I made these for my nephew who is turning 1 in May.   I also managed to sell a set of these to someone that was uber impressed!  I also sold the same person a custom name baby blanket like the one I made my girlfriend, and a toddler bag.  Yay! Kei Vahns is making some progress.

I also made (what I like to call) a Snuggie for my nephew. It is 12x26 double layered minky fabric.  My idea was to replace a toddler's attachment to a larger blanket that they drag around (i.e. my son with his gross blanket).

Over school vacation my other nephew who is turning 7 in July visited for the week and to entertain him, I brought him to Jo-Anns to let him pick his own fabrics for his bag.  I altered my toddler version of this bag to make it bigger.  The bag is about 13x16, I would say its about 25 to 30% bigger than my toddler bag.

I'm not gone...just busy

Wow, crazy how life gets busy when your son suddenly becomes a walking cesspool.  I have been working on a few things.  I've completed a toddler back pack, made some cotton blocks and a snuggie (a little blanket) for my nephew, and made a wristlet.  All of which, I have yet to upload pictures.  I know I'm slacking.

I've also been working on an online portfolio website to display my work in a more professional manner.  There's also a local Arts & Crafts fair that I'd like to do but that might be a reach for me.  I've yet to make the same thing twice.  I really have to nail down my product line and focus.
